Blackville Foodland Removes Single-Use Plastic Bags

Blackville Foodland has removed single-use plastic grocery bags from their store as of Thursday, October 1. Customers are reminded to bring their own reusable bags when they shop.

The store also offers a line of reusable grocery bags for purchase: red Foodland bags are 25 cents each and larger Compliments bags are 99 cents each. Alternatively, paper bags are also available at 10 cents each.

All Foodland Atlantic stores have removed single-use bags and calls plastic bag elimination a significant first step in promoting reusable, sustainable alternatives.

Blackville Foodland is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00am until 8:00pm and on Sunday from 10:00am until 6:00pm. They can be found on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/BlackvilleFoodland.
