Blackville School Celebrating Josie Foundation Week

From Monday, April 11 to Friday, April 15, Blackville School high school students are celebrating Josie Foundation Week, with all proceeds going towards the foundation. The Josie Foundation is a non-profit incorporated foundation whose aim is to establish, receive and maintain a fund for the relief of economic hardship for individuals and families within the Miramichi area who may be encountering financial difficulty as a result of a life threatening illness.

All week long, there will be a coin drive for students. On Wednesday and Friday, students are permitted to wear hats for $1 each day. On Wednesday at noon, there will be a bake auction where students and staff will have the opportunity to bid on delicious treats!  The school is accepting baked-good donations from the community and students (must be peanut free).  If you would like to donate, please send your baked goods with students, or drop off at the school before Wednesday.

On Thursday, April 21, there will be a dance held for high school students from 8:30-10:45pm with the $5 admission fee benefiting the foundation. For more information, visit the Blackville School website at
