RESCHEDULED: Blackville’s First Lawn Tractor Race

Blackville’s First Lawn Tractor Race will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 81 South Cains River Road (across from Stewart’s Tower in Blackville). The original date of Saturday, October 17 has been changed due to rainy weather forecast for that day.

Registration fee is $20, is open to all classes and begins at 12:00pm, with the flag dropping at 2:00pm. Blackville High School graduating class of 2021 will be on site BBQing.

Admission is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children under 12. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the families of Ty Croft, Kobe Curtis and Denver Jardine, who passed away tragically in a car accident in Blackville last month.

The village of Blackville is governed by an elected council made up of a mayor and four councillors. Incorporated as a village in 1966, Blackville has a population of 958 and has had a long history related to forestry and salmon fishing.
