Canada Day Breakfast & Strawberry Social

In celebration of #Canada150 this weekend, Saint Raphael’s parish will be hosting a Canada Day Breakfast at the Father AA McKinnon Memorial Hall in Blackville. Breakfast will be served from 7:00am until 11:00am and consists of bacon, eggs, toast, hash browns, tea, coffee and juice. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children.

The ladies of Saint Raphael’s Catholic Women’s League will host their annual Strawberry Social following the breakfast from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. Stop by the parish hall for strawberry shortcake and tea before the parade. Cost is $5 per person.

The village of Blackville is governed by an elected council made up of a mayor and four councillors. Incorporated as a village in 1966, Blackville has a population of 958 and has had a long history related to forestry and salmon fishing.
