Local Churches to Host Fall Suppers

turkeyWith autumn in full swing, fall supper season is here! Some local churches in the area will be hosting suppers within the next few weeks.

Saint Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church will be hosting their annual Fall Supper on Sunday, October 16 from 3:00pm to 6:00 pm at the Father AA McKinnon Memorial Hall, 105 Main Street in Blackville.  Come on out and enjoy a hot turkey supper with all the trimmings, dessert and tea/coffee.  Price is $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for children 12 and under.  Takeouts are also available for $12.50.

St. Bridget’s Parish in Renous will host their supper on Sunday, October 23 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.  Enjoy a turkey supper with all the trimmings and strawberry shortcake for dessert.  There will also be a fancy table.

On Saturday, October 29, St. Agnes’ Anglican Church will host a Country Supper at 914 Route 118 in Gray Rapids. Turkey with all the fixings will be served along with dessert and tea/coffee.  The cost is $10 per person. Take-Outs are from 3:00pm to 4:00pm and sit down supper is from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

Village of Blackville

The village of Blackville is governed by an elected council made up of a mayor and four councillors. Incorporated as a village in 1966, Blackville has a population of 958 and has had a long history related to forestry and salmon fishing.
