Miramichi Snow Goers Club 22 Receives New Groomer

The Miramichi Snow Goers Club 22 is well prepared for another year on the trails, thanks to the recent acquisition of a new Lamtrac groomer.

Blackville mayor Christopher Hennessy says the groomer comes at a perfect time, “The snowmobiling industry is huge in this area and this groomer was much needed to serve the municipalities of Blackville, Doaktown and the Rural Community of Upper Miramichi. Buying a Lamtrac groomer was important as they are built right here in New brunswick, rather than buying equipment imported from overseas or the US.”

Jake Stewart, MLA for South West Miramichi-Bay du Vin, congratulated the club and its volunteers. “This investment is just what the club needed. Our trails are vital to the local economy. As your MLA, it’s my job to help wherever and whenever I can. This coming to fruition is very special to me. It’s a proud moment for all involved!”

In attendance for the unveiling of the new groomer were Fred Gavin, Blackville Mayor Christopher Hennessey, Zoel Gautreau, New Brunswick Federation Of Snowmobile Clubs Zone Director Marc Hannan, NBFSC Executive Director Ross Antworth, Doaktown Mayor Jeff Porter, Lamtrac President Donald Gavin, MLA Jake Stewart and President of the Miramichi Snow Goers Keith Wilson.
