No Public Remembrance Day Service in Blackville

Due to the current global pandemic, there will be no public Remembrance Day service in Blackville this year.

A small invite-only service will be held at the cenotaph at the Blackville Municipal Park with Legion members, the Blackville and Renous Fire Chiefs and a few dignitaries for the laying of wreaths. Total attendance will consist of twenty to twenty-five people. There will be no meal following the service.

COVID-19 guidelines will be followed.

The village of Blackville is governed by an elected council made up of a mayor and four councillors. Incorporated as a village in 1966, Blackville has a population of 958 and has had a long history related to forestry and salmon fishing.
