The oath of office ceremony of Blackville mayor and council elect will be held on Monday, May 30 at 7:00 pm at the Blackville Community Centre, 12 South Bartholomew Road.

This event will see the swearing-in of new mayor Christopher Hennessy and councillors Ian Fortune, Amanda Brennan, incumbent Cindy Ross and Cindy Underhill.

There will be a light reception following the ceremony. The public is welcome to attend.

Village of Blackville

The village of Blackville is governed by an elected council made up of a mayor and four councillors. Incorporated as a village in 1966, Blackville has a population of 958 and has had a long history related to forestry and salmon fishing.
