One new case of COVID-19

FREDERICTON (GNB) – Public Health reported one new case of COVID-19 today.

The case is an individual 30-39 in Zone 3 (Fredericton region). The individual is self-isolating and the case is under investigation.

The number of confirmed cases in New Brunswick is 596 and 560 have recovered. There have been eight deaths, and the number of active cases is 27. Two patients are hospitalized; one of which is in an intensive care unit. As of today, 152,108 tests have been conducted.

The village of Blackville is governed by an elected council made up of a mayor and four councillors. Incorporated as a village in 1966, Blackville has a population of 958 and has had a long history related to forestry and salmon fishing.
