Statement from Mayor Hennessy Regarding Colonial Drive Road Repairs

Blackville Mayor Christopher Hennessy released a statement this week regarding road repairs on Colonial Drive:
————————————-

Some very good news for Colonial Drive residents and motorists

I spoke with DTI staff today, along with Minister Stewart regarding the terrible state of Colonial Drive and how it has worsened over the past few months. I was ensured that the road was not completed last fall, as it was pulverized because of its poor condition at the time. It received chip seal, and has badly broken apart over the past few months, but will see all the holes filled, and another layer of chip seal, with a sealant coat to finish it off.

In the mean time the holes that continue to develop will keep being filled until the road is completed in the warmer weather.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience!

– Mayor Christopher Hennessy
