On Tuesday, August 16, local musician Wade Hallihan performed live at 99.3 The River’s Summer Deck Series.  Proceeds from that show were donated to the Greater Blackville Resource Centre’s food bank.  Funds raised totaled $297.

Joy Underhill was in attendance and accepted the donations on behalf of the GBRC, “Thank you to Wade Hallihan and 99.3 The River for supporting the Greater Blackville Resource Centre. They raised $297 and we are very thankful.”

John O’Shea of 99.3 The River was pleased with the summer fundraiser that raised monies for the local food banks in the area. “It’s hard to believe we started in July with Kerry Underhill and Scott McCrae kicking it off, followed by a great local talent in Adam Jardine, hometown pride Jason Barry and his talented wife Melissa, the storyteller himself Wade Hallihan and finally East Coast favourite Rik Reese and Gypsy Ron. What great talent we have in our community and on our side of the country!”

“Thank you to all of the performers this summer and thank you to everyone who paid $5 each and brought their lawn chairs to come and listen to the stories and music of these great performers.”
