Two new cases of COVID-19

FREDERICTON (GNB) – Public Health reported two new cases of COVID-19 today.

The new cases are both in Zone 3 (Fredericton Region):

  • an individual aged 60-69
  • an individual aged 70-79

Both cases are self-isolating and under investigation.

The number of confirmed cases in New Brunswick is 601 and 567 have recovered. There have been nine deaths, and the number of active cases is 24. One patient is hospitalized and is in an intensive care unit. As of today, 153,368 tests have been conducted.

The village of Blackville is governed by an elected council made up of a mayor and four councillors. Incorporated as a village in 1966, Blackville has a population of 958 and has had a long history related to forestry and salmon fishing.
