Village of Blackville Mayoral and Councillor Duties Assigned

Effective June 7, 2021, the village of Blackville mayoral and councillor duties and responsibilities have been assigned.

Mayor Ian Fortune is responsible for Finance, Publicity & Promotion, Public Works, Regional Service Commission and Park. Mayor Fortune can be reached at 624-3509.

Deputy Mayor Denver Brennan‘s duties include Park, Dog Control, Recreation Council and Ambulance NB. Deputy Mayor Brennan can be reached at 625-7578.

Councillor Amanda Brennan is responsible for Leisure Services, Beautification, Wastewater System and Buildings. Councillor Brennan can be reached at 625-4366.

Councillor Cindy Ross‘s duties include Street Lights, Emergency Measures, Fire Department, Seniors and By Laws. Councillor Ross can be reached at 843-7972.

Councillor Cindy Underhill is responsible for Tourism, July 1, Unsightly Premises, and RCMP. Councillor Underhill can be reached at 843-2430.

Village clerk Tina Peterson is available Monday to Friday from 8:00am until 4:00pm. She can be reached at 843-6337.

Village of Blackville

The village of Blackville is governed by an elected council made up of a mayor and four councillors. Incorporated as a village in 1966, Blackville has a population of 958 and has had a long history related to forestry and salmon fishing.
