Virtual Public Meeting Invitation: Adaptation Plan to Climate Changes

Photo: Submitted

The Village of Blackville is currently working on the preparation of an Adaptation Plan to Climate Changes.

Climate change appears to be developing faster than before and its effects are increasingly felt in New
Brunswick. It is therefore essential that New Brunswick’s communities, such as the Village of Blackville,
demonstrate resilience and initiative to mitigate the risks associated with climate change.

This Plan will highlight the impacts and vulnerabilities that the Village of Blackville will face as a result of climate change.

We would like to invite you to be part of the discussion on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually.

The objectives of this meeting will be to have group discussions on the local impacts of climate change and
adaptation opportunities. A map demonstrating the forecasted flood zones in the Village will be presented at
this meeting, which will help identify the infrastructure at risk.

Please confirm your attendance at this important meeting by noon on Wednesday, March 23rd by contacting
Laura Leger at or (506) 857-2777.

If you would like to participate in a Climate Change Questionnaire, please click the link below. It will be available until Friday, March 25.
