Wear Yellow on February 4 in Support of Suicide Prevention

The Miramichi Addiction, Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Committee is hosting an event on February 4th and is encouraging everyone to participate by wearing yellow.

February is Suicide Prevention Month in New-Brunswick. Suicide is the second-most common cause of death among young people, but men in their 40s and 50s have the highest rate of suicide. While women are three to four times more likely to attempt suicide than men, men are three times more likely to die by suicide than women.

Let’s rally together on February 4th and wear yellow in support of suicide prevention.

If you take a picture and share it on the committee’s Facebook Page post – Yellow Shirt Day, you will be entered to win a Wellness Package. Visit
