White Rapids Logging Donates $1,000 to Blackville’s Outdoor Basketball Court project

White Rapids Logging is the latest local business that has donated $1,000 to the Blackville Rec Council towards the installation of the new outdoor basketball court that will be erected in the village.

Fundraising efforts continue for this project, including a recent slow pitch tournament held at the Blackville Ball Park. Last week, Tyler Vickers of Vickers River Tubing donated $1,000 and made a challenge for other businesses and groups to show their support. The Blackville Mango Health & Wellness committee also donated $1,000.

Donations towards the Rec Council’s basketball court project can be made at the Blackville village office, 12 South Bartholomew Road. The office is open on Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., and on Fridays from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Cheques can be made payable to the Blackville Recreation Council.

A challenge has been put forth to other local businesses to support this project.
